Burbank splits into two kinds of masonry country. The valley floor — Magnolia Park, the Rancho, the streets around the studios — is classic post-war LA: ranch houses with concrete driveways, block property walls, brick planters and backyard patios that work hard. Above Glenoaks Boulevard, the Burbank hills climb into the Verdugos, and the story changes to retaining walls, terraced yards, stepped entries and view lots that need serious structure under their landscaping.
We work both Burbanks. Concrete driveways, block walls and paver projects on the flats; engineered retaining walls and hillside rebuilds up in the hills; and outdoor living — fire pits, patios, outdoor kitchens — on both sides of the line.

Hillside homes above Glenoaks sit on cut pads with walls doing constant work — holding driveways, holding backyards, holding the slope itself. Many of those walls date to the original construction, built to older standards without modern drainage, and Burbank's wet winters find every weakness. A lean, a bulge or stair-step cracking is the wall asking for help; answered early, it is a repair, answered late, it is a rebuild.
We build and rebuild hillside walls with the full system — footings, steel, grouted block, gravel backfill, drain lines, weeps — then finish them to disappear into the property: smooth stucco, stone veneer or clean modern block. View lots deserve walls that hold the view up without stealing the scene.
On the valley floor the work is the everyday masonry that keeps a neighborhood looking sharp: cracked driveways replaced with fresh concrete or upgraded to pavers, wood fences swapped for block walls that do not blow over, brick steps and porch work on the older bungalows, and courtyard walls that give a front yard a purpose.
Backyards get the fun list — patios in flagstone, pavers or finished concrete, fire pits with seat walls, and outdoor kitchens under shade. Burbank lots are generous by LA standards, and a well-built outdoor room effectively adds a usable wing to the house for a fraction of an addition's cost.
