Concrete Work in Los Angeles, CA

Concrete · Los Angeles, CA

Flatwork That Stays Flat

Concrete is the ground floor of almost every outdoor project around Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena and across the Los Angeles area: the driveway that takes the daily weight, the patio the furniture lives on, the pool deck bare feet cross all summer, the steps that tie a sloped yard together. We form and pour all of it — with compacted base underneath, steel where spans and vehicles demand it, and control joints laid out so the inevitable hairline finds a straight line instead of your finish.

Finish is where concrete gets interesting: clean broom finish for grip, smooth trowel for modern lines, exposed aggregate, and color that warms the gray. We also resurface and recoat sound existing concrete — several of the before-and-afters in our work are tired pool decks and patios brought back with a fresh surface instead of a full tear-out. When replacement is the honest call, we say that instead.

Driveways Built for Decades of Cars

A driveway is a structure with a job, and the job is heavy. Ours get real excavation, compacted base, reinforcement matched to the span and load, a proper thickness pour, and joints cut where the panel wants to move. LA soils — expansive clay in plenty of neighborhoods — punish shortcuts, which is why the cheap driveway and the good driveway look identical for exactly two years.

Replacements are most of our driveway work: the cracked, settled, patched slab demoed and hauled, grade corrected, and a new driveway poured with drainage falls that send water to the street instead of the garage. Pair it with a retaining wall edge or brick banding and the front of the house changes completely.

Patios, Pool Decks and the Outdoor Floor

The patio slab is the floor of your outdoor room, and floors are judged by feel: flat underfoot and under furniture, pitched just enough to drain, finished for the use — grip where it is wet, smooth where chairs slide. Pool decks add their own rules: falls away from the water, expansion detail at the coping, and surfaces that stay comfortable barefoot.

Concrete is also the quiet base under better-dressed surfaces. Our tile pool decks, flagstone patios and mortared paver work all start with a properly built slab, and outdoor kitchens and fire features sit on pads engineered to carry them. Getting the concrete right first is why the pretty layer lasts.

Steps, Slopes and Small Structural Pours

Sloped lots run on steps, and steps are precision concrete: consistent risers, treads that drain, and edges finished clean enough to walk at night without thinking. We pour stair runs on hillside paths, entries and terraced yards — including runs with lighting blocked in — plus the small structural pours a property collects: footings, equipment pads, curbs and mowstrips.

Resurfacing rounds out the list. Where an existing slab is sound but ugly, coatings and toppings deliver a new surface for a fraction of replacement — we have turned aging red-painted pool decks into clean modern surfaces without a single truckload of demolition. Where the slab is failing underneath, we will show you why a coating would just be an expensive delay.

How We Work

How a Job With Camberos Runs

From the first look at the site to the final walk-through, here is exactly how it goes.

1

See the Site

We look at the project where it lives: the grade, the access, what is being held back or built on, and what you want the finished space to look like.

2

Straight Quote

You get a written quote with a real timeline. It spells out materials, finishes, demolition and haul-off, and flags permit or engineering questions before anything is built.

3

We Build It

Proper base and footings, clean courses, real drainage behind every wall. The details you cannot see are the reason the work lasts, and we treat them that way.

4

Final Walk-Through

We walk the finished work together — joints, finishes, cleanup, the whole job. Done means you have looked at every part of it and said so.

How much does a new concrete driveway cost in Los Angeles?
Size, demolition, access, thickness, reinforcement and finish set the price, so real numbers come from a site visit. For rough scale, 2026 cost guides put typical LA-area concrete driveway replacements in the four-figure to low five-figure range depending on size and finish. We quote exact and in writing.
Can you just resurface my old concrete instead of replacing it?
If the slab is structurally sound - not heaving, not crumbling, cracks stable and hairline - then yes, resurfacing or coating can make it look new for much less than replacement. If the base under it has failed, a new surface will crack right along with it, and we will tell you that before you spend the money.
How soon can we use the new concrete?
Foot traffic is typically fine after a couple of days, and vehicles need roughly a week - concrete keeps gaining strength for weeks after the pour. We will give you the specific timeline for your pour and finish, and we do not hand back a driveway early to make a schedule look good.
Will the new concrete crack?
All concrete moves; the craft is controlling where. Compacted base, correct thickness, reinforcement and control joints mean the normal hairline shows up inside a straight sawcut instead of wandering across your patio. That is the honest answer - anyone promising crack-proof concrete is selling something.
Do you do colored or decorative finishes?
Yes - integral color, broom and trowel textures, exposed aggregate and banding details, plus coatings on rehab work. Decorative options change the look more than the price on most jobs, and we bring samples so you pick from real surfaces, not catalog photos.
